It's been a long time since we've written...

...but that's a good thing. We've been busy with folks fishing 1/2 days and full days. As you know, we have been also busy opening our new property in Tamarindo. www.TamarindoMirador.com That has absorbed a lot of time, hence our lack of frequent posts here. We have been fishing a lot this year, and every day out has been an adventure; of course, there's been some days that have been long & hard, and even some days with nothing; but as I look back over my calendar of who's been with us; I primarily see good numbers of billfish, mainly Sails, with more and more Mahi's being caught as the year progresses. The Tuna have been pretty slim until recently, where the numbers have been abundant, we have of course conserved, capping ourselves at 8 per day. The Marlin bite was strong in May and July. When there are Sails around, we're raising 6 - 10, and catching & releasing 1/2 of that amount. The Mahi have been slowing working there way in, and with the increasing rainfall, and estuaries dropping the valuable debris in the water, their numbers should increase. The wahoo's still haven't shown their fins on our boat, but there are a few being caught in the area - just a matter of time. The inshore bite has continued to be a good backup plan, with numerous grouper, snapper and Roosters being caught. I hope to make a few posts more often, but if you don't hear from us, let us hear from you! www.GoFishCR.com
